English language has 2 articles, “the and a/an”. a commentary is employed for a noun. a commentary like Associate in Nursing adjective modifies a noun.

For example, a book, the book, a cup, the cup, Associate in Nursing umbrella, the umbrella
The article “the” is definite article and therefore the article “a/an” is indefinite article.

Types of Articles

There are two articles in English language.

1. Indefinite article: a/an
2. Definite article: the

An article is employed before a noun or Associate in Nursing adjective modifying a noun.

Definite Article: (the)

The article "the" is employed for an exact, specific or explicit noun.

Example. He bought the shirt.

The article “the” before the noun “shirt” in higher than sentence implies that the shirt, he bought, could be a specific or explicit shirt and not any shirt.

Indefinite Article: (a/an)

The article “a/an” is employed for indefinite, non-specific or non-particular (common) noun.

Example. He bought a shirt.

The article “a” before shirt in higher than sentence implies that the shirt he bought is any shirt and not a particular shirt.

Rules for exploitation article (a/an)

The article kind “a” is employed before a word (singular) starting with a consonant, or a vowel with a consonant sound.
e.g. a book, a cat, a camera, a university, a European
The article kind “an” is employed before a word (singular) starting with a vowel (a, e, i, o, u) or consonant with vowel (or starting with mute h ).
e.g. an apple, Associate in Nursing elephant, Associate in Nursing umbrella, an hour,
1. Before a singular noun that is enumerable
e.g. He bought a book
She is feeding Associate in Nursing apple.
2. Before a singular noun that refers to a category of things.
e.g. Associate in Nursing orange is made in vitamins.
3. Before a reputation of a profession
e.g. She desires to be a doctor
he's Associate in Nursing engineer.
4. sure as shooting expressions of amount
e.g. a lot of, a few, a couple, a dozen
5. sure as shooting numbers.
e.g. a hundred, a thousand, a million
6. Before a singular, enumerable noun in exclamation.
e.g. What a fine looking flower!
What a pleasant shirt!
7. Article a/an isn't used before uncountable nouns
e.g. water, milk, sand etc

Rules for exploitation article (the)

The article “the” may be used each before a singular and plural noun in keeping with the subsequent grammatical rules. e.g. the book, the books
1. Before the place, object or cluster of object that distinctive|is exclusive} or thought of to be unique and nation and points on globe.
e.g. the earth, the moon, the sky, the stars, the pole, the equator
2. For a noun that becomes definite or explicit as a result of it's already mentioned and is being mentioned a second time.
e.g. The teacher helped a student and therefore the student became happy.
3. For a noun created specific or definite during a clause or a phrase.
e.g. The wife, The woman with blue eyes, The boy that I saw, the great red shirt
4. Before superlatives, and first, second,.. etc, and only
e.g. the most effective day, the sole technique, the second month,
5. Before a phrase composed of a correct and customary noun
e.g. The the big apple town, The watercourse Nile River, The library of Congress
6. Before the names of organizations
e.g. The Association of leased Accountants, the planet Health Organization
7. Before names of scientific principles, theories, laws etc. e.g. the philosopher theorem, the laws of Newton, The Fahrenheit scale. however, no article are going to be used for these names if written in forms like Newton’s Law, Dalton’s Law of Partial Pressures, Hook’s Law of physical property
8. Article “the” isn't used for names of universities if written in forms like Oxford University, university, Columbia University. however article “the” is employed if names of university ar written in forms just like the University of Oxford, The University of Yale, The University of provincial capital.
9. Article “the” isn't used for names of nations of places. e.g. New York, America, Mexico, Japan, London. however article “the” is employed for a reputation if it expresses a cluster of place, states, or land. e.g. The us, The Philippines, The Holland
